Frequently Asked Questions

I provide a complementary 15-minute phone consultation so we can discuss your particular therapy goals and current challenges. From the phone call we can decide what might be the best fit for you. If I provide a service that will be helpful for you and fitting with your healing needs, we will continue to collaborate.
Because I am not contracted with insurance, I can offer services in the most flexible way possible, as we are not constrained by the mandates of an insurance company. I do not participate in any insurance plans. However, you may have “out-of-network” benefits through your insurance company. These benefits will usually cover a portion of my fees. I can provide you with a “superbill” that you will need to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
During the first session, we will be covering a lot. I will ask a lot more questions than I normally will in a regular session! We will talk about what is going on in your life currently, and begin to talk about your history. We will also talk about your potential goals for therapy.
For individual therapy, we usually take the first 2 or 3 sessions to do a full intake assessment. We go into detail about your history and formulate a treatment plan together. Once we have completed this, I will provide feedback, and we will set treatment goals together. This process can take a few sessions through the span of a few weeks.
This depends on your history, needs, and goals. Sometimes I offer short-term work that lasts a few months or less. More often, a longer process of therapy is necessary to reach your desired goals. If you have questions about treatment length, I will do my best to give you an honest estimate once we’ve completed the initial assessment.
Weekly sessions are most common and often recommended in therapy. Sometimes, biweekly sessions are necessary or a better fit for your needs. We will discuss this together to determine what is best.
At this time, the fees for Individual Therapy (50 minutes) is $170.
Therapists are someone you build therapeutic relationships with, and finding one that is a good fit is an important part of the healing journey. If something that I’m doing isn’t working for you, I am more than happy to hear your thoughts and try a different approach. If that doesn’t help, and if it feels like we aren’t a good match for whatever reason, we can discuss other referral options.
Yes! I’m accepting new clients. I have availabilities Monday through Fridays, and some Sundays! Contact me if you think I will be a good fit to help you through your journey.
Good Faith Estimate

In accordance with the Public Health Services Act 2799B-6, (“No Surprises”), health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform uninsured and self-pay individuals of their right to receive a Good Faith Estimateexplaining how much their medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using their insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
